Apprenticeship & Vocational Training

The civil engineering technician prepares the site for construction. This includes excavating, moving, and leveling soil; installing drainage systems; casting concrete foundations; and laying concrete surfaces such as paving stones.

  • Education Type: Vocational Education and Training (EUD)
  • Duration: 3 years and 5–11 months
  • Entry Requirements: Completion of primary school or equivalent
  • Finances: State education support (SU) and apprenticeship salary

Asfaltør i Munck

The road asphalt worker education lasts 2 years. It begins each year in early September and concludes two years later with a final exam in week 33. During the program, you’ll attend approximately 24 weeks of school and complete about 70 weeks of on-the-job training with your company.

Each April, we hire 4–5 road asphalt apprentices.
From your hiring date until the education begins in September, you’ll work as an unskilled asphalt worker, giving you a chance to find out whether the job is right for you – and allowing us to ensure a good match.

What Does a Road Asphalt Worker Do?

  • Lays asphalt on roads and surfaces across Denmark
  • Works closely in crews of 2–8 people
  • Operates asphalt pavers, rollers, and tractors
  • Works outdoors
  • Has a busy season from Easter to Christmas

Paving technicians install surfacing on town squares, sidewalks, pedestrian streets, and parts of parks and gardens. Along roads and streets, they set curbstones and pave parking areas, driveways, and intersections. They also carry out repair work on existing pavements.

  • Education Type: Vocational Education and Training (EUD)
  • Duration: 3 years and 5–11 months
  • Entry Requirements: Completion of primary school or equivalent
  • Finances: State education support (SU) and apprenticeship salary

The machine operator program is a labor market training course (AMU) that includes both practical and theoretical components. You’ll gain the skills to carry out complex excavation work in the construction and civil engineering sector – including operating and maintaining construction machinery with a strong focus on safety.

  • Education type: Labor Market Training (AMU)
  • Duration: 2 years
  • Entry Requirements: Minimum age: 18. Employment contract with a company
  • Finances: Salary and VEU compensation (adult education support)

Procesoperatør i Munck

As a process operator, you are responsible for ensuring that production runs on time, meets the right quality standards, and avoids resource waste. A key part of the job is preventing and solving technical problems and continuously monitoring quality. You’ll learn how to identify and fix faults in production systems and contribute to improving efficiency.

Process operators can work in a wide range of industrial companies with large-scale production facilities – such as factories producing food, medicine, chemicals, building materials, and more.

The apprenticeship program lasts 4 years and is structured as follows:

  • A 6-month basic course (Grundforløb)
  • Followed by 3½ years in the main course (Hovedforløb), which includes 7 school periods of 5 weeks each
  • With the option to add a 4-week industry-focused extension

The main course takes place at Erhvervsskolerne Aars.

During the basic course, specific competencies must be acquired. This usually takes place at a technical college, although it may be necessary to complete all or part of the basic course at Erhvervsskolerne Aars.

We are continuously looking for 2nd or 3rd year students – for example within engineering or similar fields. Ideally, you have an interest in and understanding of AutoCAD, Excel, and possibly project management.

We also expect you to be a strong team player with solid communication skills.
